Live Learning Experience
The second day will be spent in the three study sites so the students will be able to observe, experience, and learn about their environment, history, culture, and development background. Each study site represents a theme. First, Clogs Music addresses the issue of conservation, seeking to propose convincing alternatives against the pollution for quality life while continuing the development of the local traditional industry. Secondly, New Life for Straw talks about the growth of aging population in Taiwanese communities and how active aging can be adapted into community settings. Thirdly, Paper the future focuses on refining the local industry while preserving its tradition. On the third day, an opportunity will be offered for the students to re-explore the three study sites and they will be able to interact with local residents in order to gain an in-depth understanding assess the actual needs, resources, and goals of the study sites to create new ideas.
